Your PIA Chapter Affiliate officers and representatives of the
PIA Western Alliance are on constant alert, monitoring
legislation, rules and regulations that affect independent
insurance agents and this industry. Occasionally we will ask
for your support of a grass roots campaign for a state, local,
regional or national issue. These alerts will come via email,
fax or sometimes phone calls.

Lana Butterfield has lobbied for the insurance industry since 1986, and formed her own contract government relations firm in 1990, when she became the Oregon lobbyist for the Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho. Focusing on business interests, her resume of current and former government relations clients includes Safeco Insurance Companies, the Northwest Propane Gas Association, American Family Insurance, Underwriters at Lloyds of London, Professional Insurance Agents of Washington/Alaska, Advanced Data Concepts, Inc., and Oregon Log Truckers Association. Lana also served as staff lobbyist for the Independent Insurance Agents of Oregon. She holds the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor.
